Alay Mahestan Petrochemical Company has 2 units as follows:
- Production of polypropylene by dehydrogenation of propane (PDH) with an annual capacity of 450,000 tons of polymer grade propylene
- Production of polypropylene with a capacity of 450 thousand tons per year
- The required utilities of the operational units will be provided through the pipeline from Kangan Petroleum Complex, which is adjacent to this company.

Due to the lack of propylene in the country and the market need for propylene and polypropylene, the availability of propane in Assaluyeh region by converting propane produced in the country into more valuable and high value-added products, the construction of downstream propane units is of great importance.
